Oj, oj vårens häftigaste upplevelse är tjäderspelet. I år blev det ett lyckat äventyr, det bästa någonsin. En riktigt fin miljö med lavaklädda "spelkullar" och en riktigt vacker tupp som spelade från 04.00 till 09.30.
De första bilderna togs med ISO 10.000 och då var det så gott som helt mörkt. Men det är en häftig upplevelse att vakna i tältet till tjäderns "kluckande och sisande".... Att smyga sig upp ur sovsäcken, ta fram kameran och inta position utan att minsta ljud kommer ut. Tjädern är "svår" såtillvida att den är mycket störningskänslig,,
De första bilderna är tagna i mörker, och sedan blev det ljusare och ljusare för att sist bli några bilder i solsken. Jag har så många bilder att gå igenom så att det lätt kan bli ett blogg inlägg till.....

This is a great series of photos of the Black Grouse, Lasse.
You indeed had to be there early, it was good that you were in a tent, you were really early enough to take photos, you can clearly see that it was still almost dark from the first photos.
I enjoyed this series of photos.

What a perfect completion of the Capercaillie, Wonderful feathers showing in its breeding seasons. I've never seen one.

Vackra bilder på tjädern.
Som du säger, kamerans brus är farligt för där i de lugna omgivningarna och speciellt på de timmarna kan man höra absolut allt. Tack och lov att du undvek bullret, och du hade inga problem med rådjuren heller.
Förutom tjäderns bröst, gillar den också sin solfjäderformade svans. Det verkar vad påfåglar gör för att locka till sig honor.

It's a wonderful bird. We've seen it many times, but haven't gotten any decent pictures of it. Last time yesterday, it flew further away, and the lure with the sound didn't come back.
