Unexpected guests,,

During December I had visitors at the small bird feeding that really shouldn't be here at all. A flock of starlings, I counted to at least 50 individuals..... Starlings should not be here now. We had deep snow and it was really cold with at least -10 C.  They were hungry, of course,  and they ate everything so it was nothing left to "my small birds"........  During there stay it offered lots of photo opportunities !!!

    Starlings spend the winter with us, Lasse, and the temperature gets well below minus ten. They are tough and they survive.

    Starlings spend the winter also with us ;-)
    Yesterday i saw a rotating swarm with 1000 starlings...
    And it is not cold at all here! I love your beautiful photo's rather artistic and funny!! The last one is stunning and a winner!!

    Thanks folks, great comments. Then it is not so unusual as I thought that we see starlings in snow and cold winter. It was a new adventure for me and it was a great show anyhow :)

    Dat zijn toch mooie momenten waar je mooie opnames van kunt maken, zoals bij de vogels is er altijd hommeles en gelijk vliegbeelden kunnen maken (super)

    Hallo Lasse,

    Deze spreeuwen leverden je wel heel erg leuke beelden op, heerlijk zoals ze ze daar rondvliegen en het bood jou een mooie kans om ze bekvechtend in de lucht te fotograferen.
